  • Aap ek petition file kar sakti ho court mein jahan aapka husband rehta hai, ya jahan aap dono last time saath rahe the, ya jahan aap khud rehti ho.
  • Isme aapko apne aur apne unborn child ke liye monthly maintenance mil sakta hai. Pregnancy ki wajah se court aapki application ko priority degi.
  • Court husband ko interim maintenance (case chalte waqt) bhi dene ka order de sakti hai, taki aapko turant financial help mil sake.
• Domestic Violence Act, 2005 (Gharelu Hinsa Adhiniyam):
  • Yeh law sirf physical violence ke liye nahi hai, balki emotional, verbal, aur economic abuse ke liye bhi hai. Husband ka aapko ghar se nikaal dena "domestic violence" ki category mein aata hai.
  • Is act ke तहत आप Magistrate court mein ek application file kar sakti ho.
  • Isme aapko Monetary Relief Order mil sakta hai, jisme husband ko aapke aur bachche ke liye maintenance aur medical expenses dene ka order hoga.
  • Aap Residence Order bhi maang sakti ho, jiske तहत court husband ko aapko matrimonial home (sural) mein waapas rehne dene ka order de sakti hai, ya aapko us ghar mein rehne ka adhikar de sakti hai.
  • Aap Protection Order bhi maang sakti ho taki husband aapko ya aapke relatives ko aage pareshan na kare.
• Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act, 1956 (Agar aap Hindu hain):
  • Is act ke under bhi aap husband se maintenance claim kar sakti hain.
  • Isme aap future ke bachche ke liye bhi maintenance maang sakti hain.

• Police Complaint (FIR): Agar aapke husband ne aapko forcibly ghar se nikala hai, ya aapko jaan ka khatra hai, ya koi physical harm pahuchai hai, toh turant nearest police station mein FIR (First Information Report) file karo. Police aapko protection provide karegi aur investigation karegi.
• Protection Order under DV Act: Jaisa ki upar bataya gaya hai, Domestic Violence Act ke under aap protection order maang sakti ho, jo husband ko aapke paas aane ya aapko pareshan karne se roke.
• Right to Reside: Domestic Violence Act aapko matrimonial home mein rehne ka adhikar deta hai, bhale hi woh husband ke naam par ho. Court aapko us ghar mein waapas rehne ka order de sakti hai.

  • Proof of Marriage: Marriage Certificate.

  • Kai NGOs (non-governmental organizations) hain jo domestic violence survivors ki help karte hain, unhe legal aid, counseling aur shelter provide karte hain.
