For extra comfort, dry roast a tablespoon of ajwain (carom seeds), tie it securely in a clean cotton cloth to make a warm pouch (potli), and place it near your baby’s bedding so they can inhale the soothing aroma. Slightly elevate the head side of your baby’s mattress using a rolled towel underneath to aid breathing while sleeping. Since your baby is very young, please arrange a video consultation with a pediatrician immediately if you notice rapid breathing, fever, or refusal to feed.

To get relief, try elevating your head and chest with an extra pillow while sleeping so acid cannot travel upward. Keep your dinner light, non-spicy, and finish it at least 2–3 hours before bedtime. Right before sleeping, gargle with warm salt water and sip mild warm water instead of cold water. Keeping a bowl of fresh water near your bed also adds moisture to the room air and prevents your throat from drying out.
