Beta, it's completely normal to have cravings during pregnancy, and it's wonderful you're listening to your body! Litchi, mango, and watermelon are generally safe and can be very beneficial for you. Watermelon is excellent for hydration, while mangoes and litchis are rich in vitamins and minerals. The key is always moderation and hygiene. Make sure to wash all fruits thoroughly before eating. While these fruits are nutritious, consuming them in excessive quantities, especially mangoes and litchis due to their sugar content, might not be ideal. If you have any concerns like gestational diabetes, it's always best to consult your doctor... See more

Is there an easy, Indian-inspired beauty routine that helps me look refreshed, not just "presentable," even on the busiest days with a newborn?

To get that instant, well-rested glow without spending more than three minutes, rely on quick traditional secrets. Keep a bottle of cold Gulab Jal (rose water) in the fridge and spritz it on your face immediately after washing; it instantly wakes up tired skin. Follow it up with two drops of Kumkumadi Tailam or aloe vera gel mixed with your regular moisturizer. This locks in deep hydration and leaves a natural, dewy radiance that heavy makeup just cannot replicate. For a quick color boost, use a hydrating tinted lip balm on both your lips and the apples of your cheeks... See more

How to promote eating without watching tv or mobile?

Beti, this is a very common challenge many mothers face, so please know you're not alone. The key is a gradual transition and creating a positive, screen-free mealtime experience. Start by reducing screen time slowly – perhaps just for the first five minutes of the meal, then gradually extend the time without it. Make mealtime a family affair where everyone eats together, shares stories, and talks about their day. This transforms it into an engaging social activity rather than a solitary, screen-dependent one. Involve your child in the process, like helping you wash vegetables or setting the table; this makes... See more

What are the best healthy snack ideas for kids?
Hi friends diwali is very near, plz suggest Some quick, healthy less oily and tasty diwali snacks ideas...where I can store them?

Diwali preparations are so exciting! For quick, healthy, and less oily snacks that kids will love, try some smart twists on classics. Instead of deep-frying, consider making baked whole wheat namak pare or even sweet baked shankarpali using a little jaggery. They offer that festive crunch without excess oil. Another fantastic option is preparing nutrient-dense dry fruit and nut laddoos. Blend dates, almonds, cashews, and a touch of ghee – they're naturally sweet and energizing for children. Simple roasted makhana (foxnuts) seasoned lightly are also a hit and very light. Store all these in air-tight containers at room temperature for... See more

Pregnancy aur naye mom banne ke dauraan, bahot saari 'baatein' aur unsolicited advice milta hai. Apni peace of mind bachane ke liye sabse pehle boundaries set karna seekho. Zaroori nahi ki har baat ka jawab do ya har suggestion follow karo. Yaad rakho, har pregnancy aur baby alag hota hai. Log bhale hi good intentions se bolte hon, but aapki mental health aur baby ka well-being sabse upar hai. Unwanted comments ya gossip ko simply ignore karna ya politely topic change karna seekho. Apne trusted circle (husband, mom, best friend) se hi baatein share karo aur unki advice suno. Social... See more

Oh, the "Gossip Corner" always has interesting stories, doesn't it? One of the most bizarre old wives' tales I've often heard, especially relevant around a solar or lunar eclipse, is the belief that if a pregnant woman sees an eclipse, or even uses a knife, or sweeps the floor during one, her baby could be born with birth defects or marks. Many expectant mothers are advised to stay completely indoors, lie down, and avoid any activity until the eclipse passes, sometimes even praying for protection. While these traditions often stem from a place of love and concern for the baby's... See more

Exercises recommended for weight loss while having cervical issue
I am having cervical pain due to prolonged sitting job. Last year i joined yoga and they ask me to be careful about few exercises. So, can anybody help me in such exercises which i can do to reduce weight as well as doesnt affect my cervical issue.

Managing weight with cervical pain can feel tricky, but low-impact exercises are completely safe and effective. Since heavy weights or neck-straining crunches worsen pain, focus on cardio that burns calories without putting pressure on your spine. Brisk walking for 30–45 minutes daily is the safest starting point. You can also try upright stationary cycling (keep your neck relaxed and posture tall) or light swimming, which relieves joint pressure while burning fat efficiently. To support your weight loss without straining your neck, try incorporating these safe routines: Safe Core & Toning: Do glute bridges, wall push-ups, and standing side crunches instead... See more

What diet should i follow in case of having jaundice
What diet should I have in case of jaundice? Can i eat Jackfruit? Simply boiled and with salt without any spices? Is that okay?
My Answer | Total 1 vote
Answered a month ago
When recovering from jaundice, your liver needs rest, so it is best to avoid jackfruit for now, even if simply boiled with salt. Jackfruit is dense, high in complex fiber, and difficult to digest, which can put unnecessary strain on a weak digestive system. Instead, stick to light, bland, and easily digestible foods such as soft moong dal khichdi, plain boiled rice, and light vegetables like bottle gourd (lauki), ridge gourd (tori), and pumpkin. To support your liver and speed up recovery, keep these simple guidelines in mind: Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of boiled and cooled water, fresh coconut water,... See more
