Hi everyone, I’m 5 month pregnant and working from home due to this pandemic. Recently two days back I got a mail from my HR saying that company is relieving me due to the outset. They gave time till next month. Considering my pregnancy, company is ready to pay full for the next month. But this would not help me. This is absolutely something unexpected. In this situation, what to do I’m not understanding. As there are no new openings. Kindly suggest.
I am really sorry that you have to go through this. As per rule, a company cannot ask its pregnant woman employee to leave the job. You can talk to the HR and see if anything can be done. If you want you can sue them but that will be a lot of stress specially when you r pregnant. If nothing works out, talk to your family members and see if they can manage till you are able to find a new job or you can start some homebased business also till that time.
