Please take a deep breath and try to stay calm, beta. Light spotting or brownish discharge at 7 weeks is actually quite common and can happen due to hormonal shifts or cervical sensitivity. However, any bleeding during early pregnancy requires an immediate checkup to rule out complications. Please contact your gynecologist right away or visit an emergency clinic so they can perform a quick ultrasound to check your baby's heartbeat and prescribe supportive medication if needed.

While you get in touch with your doctor, please follow these safe precautions immediately:

  • Complete bed rest: Lie down straight away and avoid any walking, stair-climbing, or lifting heavy items.
  • Monitor the flow: Wear a pad to observe the color (pink, brown, or bright red) and note if you feel any lower abdominal cramps.
  • Avoid interference: Do not insert tampons, do not wash internally, and strictly avoid physical intimacy until your doctor examines you.
