Balancing traditional wisdom with modern nutritional guidelines during pregnancy is a common beautiful challenge. Our elders' advice often stems from generations of experience, emphasizing wholesome, seasonal foods like ghee, nuts, and lentils, which are indeed nutrient-dense. The key is to embrace the goodness of these traditional foods while incorporating modern understanding of portion control, healthy cooking methods (less oil, more steaming), and ensuring a balanced intake of all macro and micronutrients. You can gently explain to your elders that you are enjoying their suggested foods, perhaps just in smaller portions or prepared a little differently, while also ensuring you get... See more

Back pain during lockdown
I am getting frequent back pain from past one week. It seems due to lockdown , lifestyle changed. Can anyone help how to cure it soon.

Haan beta, lockdown mein ghar par rehne se lifestyle badalna aur back pain hona bahut common ho gaya hai. Din bhar baithe rehna ya galat posture mein kaam karne se aisa ho sakta hai. Sabse pehle apni sitting posture theek karo, ek cushion support use kar sakti ho apni lower back ke liye. Har ghante mein 5-10 minute ka break lo aur thoda walk karo ya halki stretching exercises jaise shoulder shrugs, gentle neck rotations, aur cat-cow stretch try karo. Yeh muscles ko relax karega. Ghar par garam paani ki bottle (hot water bag) se compress karna bhi bahut faydemand... See more

How can I ensure my child's education fosters true wisdom and opens doors to a brighter future in India?
How can I ensure my child's education fosters true wisdom and opens doors to a brighter future in India?

Beti, true wisdom goes beyond rote learning and marks. Encourage your child to ask questions, explore different subjects, and connect what they learn to the world around them. Foster a love for reading, storytelling, and practical application of knowledge, whether it's understanding the science behind cooking or the history of our festivals. This makes learning engaging and meaningful, moving beyond just textbook knowledge. Alongside academics, instill strong values like respect for elders, honesty, and empathy. These sanskars are the foundation of a well-rounded individual. Seek out schools that focus on holistic development, not just exam preparation, and provide a nurturing... See more

How to make my baby look chubby.
My 3 months old baby looks very lean and thin. What to do to make him look chubby? He is on breastfeed and formula milk. Pee count is around 10. Poop occasionally.

Beta, it's natural for mothers to want their babies to look healthy and robust, and often we associate chubbiness with that. However, at 3 months, the most important thing is that your baby is growing well and is active. A high pee count (around 10) is a wonderful sign that he is getting enough hydration and nutrition from your breast milk and formula. Every baby has a unique body type, and some are naturally leaner than others. Instead of focusing solely on chubbiness, let's ensure he's getting enough nutrition for healthy development. Continue breastfeeding on demand and giving formula as... See more

Gharelu nuskhe mein, aap besan, haldi aur dahi ka pack bana kar regularly laga sakti hain. Yeh skin ko naturally lighten karta hai. Products mein, Olay, Lotus Herbals ya Mamaearth jaise brands ke de-tan packs ya face washes try kar sakti hain, jinme lemon... See more

Hey beautiful moms my daughter completed 3 years she s weak..nd cannot like plain milk .can i add bournvita or pediasure or any health drink .any one pls suggest ..

It is completely normal for a 3-year-old to refuse plain milk, but try to avoid high-sugar commercial drinks for daily use. Instead, enhance the milk naturally by adding homemade badam powder (ground almonds, cashews, and cardamom), a spoon of date paste, or a bit of jaggery with turmeric. You can also offer delicious banana or chikoo milkshakes, which provide healthy calories and natural sweetness to help with weight gain. If you feel your daughter is genuinely underweight, please consult your pediatrician before introducing clinical supplements like PediaSure. Remember that milk is not the only source of nutrition; focus on a... See more

At 8 years, your growing boy needs a solid balance of protein, calcium, vitamin D, and zinc to support his bone strength and immunity. Popular and trusted options in India include Pediasure (great for overall growth and nutritional gaps), Complan, or Horlicks Growth+. If you prefer a healthier, traditional option without excess refined sugar, a homemade mix made with ground almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, and a pinch of turmeric mixed into warm milk works wonders for natural immunity. Remember that health drinks should only supplement a balanced daily diet rich in fresh fruits, vegetables, lentils, and fresh milk, rather than... See more

Delivery ke baad baby ke saath ghar se kaam karna bilkul possible hai, bas aapko flexible options chunne honge. Aap kam investment mein yeh aasan business ideas try kar sakti hain: Reselling Business: Meesho ya WhatsApp groups ke zariye clothes aur home items resell karein. Isme zero investment lagta hai aur koi stock rakhne ki zaroorat nahi hoti. Healthy Snacks & Laddoos: New moms ke liye Gond/Methi laddoos, Panjiri ya bacho ke liye healthy home-made snacks banakar local society mein sell karein. Online Tuitions ya Freelancing: Agar aap teaching ya writing mein achhi hain, toh baby ke sone ke baad... See more

My sister son s 2 years old nd seems very weak .his weight s not increasing too ..what should v do ..pls suggest..

First and foremost, please ensure your sister takes her son to a pediatrician. A doctor can properly assess his growth, rule out any underlying medical reasons for low weight, and provide personalized dietary recommendations or supplements if needed. This is the most important step for his health and well-being. In the meantime, focus on nutrient-dense foods. Offer small, frequent meals rather than large ones. Include healthy fats like a little ghee in dal or khichdi, and incorporate foods rich in protein and calories such as full-fat milk products, eggs, mashed banana, avocado, and finely ground nuts (if no allergies). You... See more

For managing high diabetes, uric acid, and cholesterol, focus on a diet rich in whole, unprocessed foods. Include plenty of whole grains like brown rice, oats, jowar, and bajra, which are high in fiber and help regulate blood sugar and cholesterol. Load up on fresh vegetables, especially green leafy ones, gourds, and salads, and incorporate a variety of pulses and legumes like daal, chana, and rajma for protein and fiber. Moderate your fruit intake and choose berries or apples. Limit your intake of sugary foods, processed snacks, white bread, and fried items. Also, reduce consumption of red meat, organ meats,...
