How can I apply for teaching in government schools after B.Ed

If you want to apply for government schools then you have to go for TET which is Teacher Eligibility Test for the particular state and for central school CTET is compulsory dear. Since you really need a job and have a B.ed too I would suggest you to go for private school and keep giving the exams side by side... Once you pass these exams then you can leave the private one and go for the government schools.. Hope this helps.

Beta, it's wonderful that you have completed your B.Ed and are looking to teach in government schools. You are absolutely right, the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) at the state level or the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) are essential qualifying examinations for government teaching jobs. These are not 'further studies' in the sense of another degree, but rather crucial tests that prove your eligibility and subject knowledge. You must clear either the CTET or the respective state TET to be considered for recruitment.

My advice is to focus all your energy on preparing for the CTET first, as it opens doors to central government schools (like KVS, NVS) and is also accepted by many states. There are abundant free online resources, previous year papers, and affordable study materials available that can help you prepare without significant financial burden. Keep a close watch on official recruitment notifications from state education boards and central organizations, as they announce application dates only after you have cleared these eligibility tests. This is the direct path to securing a government teaching position, so dedicate yourself to clearing these exams.
