Hello dear,
I personally feel there is no harm in being a non vegetarian.... Problems arise only when the food is not cooked properly... Same thing might happen with vegetables also if you don't wash them properly, toxins in vegetable can cause mild problems.. With the Indian way of cooking and consuming food is the best way as non veg items are properly cooked in high heat.. So there is nothing to be worried about.
